DAY SEVEN

Starlight, Starbright,
I wish I may, I wish I might,
Have this wish I wish tonight.   ---
 --- how many of you say this verse when you see the 1st star in the night sky? 


I have wanted a telescope for as long as I can remember and my lovely hubby finally got me one, I was expecting something long and thin(think I've watched too many pirate movies). When we got home yesterday a very large box was blocking the entrance to the house, so large in fact that the kids have played in the boxes all day today..... So last night was a perfect cloud free night to watch the Quadrantid Meteor shower, we got to see a ton of meteors, the international space station, and hundreds of stars.  James got to stay up late and he saw his first shooting stars. There wouldn't be a sky full of stars if we were all meant to wish on the same one go wish on one tonight.

I saw a star slide down the sky,

Blind the north as it went by,
Too burning and too quick to hold,
Too lovely to be bought or sold,
Good only to make wishes on
And then forever to be gone.
